Work
Independent work, shown transparently.
The projects shown here are self-initiated, not client commissions: a film, this website and a community app. Each case shows the task, the direction, the result — and what is still unresolved.
Self-initiated project · Film
A vessel in the light

Task
Show a vessel so that space, material and light carry a mood — without sound and without text in the image.
Direction
Storyboard and lighting plan were set before the first image. The edit moves through five beats: space, approach, material, light and stillness.
Result
The film opens this website. It starts only after the page is ready, plays once, and falls back to its final frame for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
Still open
In the first cut, the vessel shifts sideways in the frame. The issue is known and still to be corrected.

Self-initiated project · Website
This site
Task
The studio website needed to demonstrate what it sells: a brand experience staged with the logic of film — on a phone as well as on a large screen.
Direction
Seven chapters, each with one message. The page leads from the film at the start to the inquiry at the end, instead of listing services.
Result
It stays complete with reduced motion and without JavaScript. Loading time and accessibility are measured, not estimated.
Still open
The measured values on the detail page come from a local run before publication.
Self-initiated project · Community App
Community App
Task
A community app needed a website that did more than describe the product — it had to convey its mood: people meeting in person. At the same time, the site needed to load quickly on an older phone and remain fully readable without motion.
Direction
Before the build, each section received a direction brief: what visitors see, what they should understand and what they do next. More elaborate visuals load only when a section comes into view, and motion is disabled for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
Result
The site is live. Every change is checked and measured before release. I can show you the documentation in a conversation.
Quality standard
How thilabx works on every project
Step 1
Direction brief
Every section gets a brief up front: goal, effect, content, limit. If an element has no reason to be there, it is cut before production.
Step 2
Build in small steps
A step is done when it works on its own and has been checked. Only then does the next one begin.
Step 3
Check and measure
Every change is checked and measured before it goes live. If it does not pass, it is not finished.
Step 4
Approval and handover
Before approval, every change is checked against the brief. I approve it myself. At the end, the code, documentation and access are handed over to you.
Would you like to see the cases in detail?
In a conversation I show the direction brief, documentation and measured values — and what I would do differently next time.
